On Friday, March 1st, Caribbean-born author Baptiste Paul visited students at Hillsboro Elementary. Students were captivated by his storytelling and experiences growing up, and had the opportunity to read along with Paul as he shared some words in French Creole. Students also learned about the importance of clean water and how factors such as erosion can impact the environment.
At the heart of Paul's work is a belief that we should seek to embrace a world rich in differences, where everyone is included, and joy is valued.
Thank you to the Hynek family for their support in making this event possible. It was another great day to be a tiger!
