On Friday, March 8th, 17 students from Hillsboro High School participated in the Student Art Experience at Kickapoo Valley Reserve. This event provides a unique opportunity for students to learn from and collaborate with local artists.
The students were presented with a wide range of artistic mediums to explore, including colored pencil, collage, mixed media (stitch books), oil painting, watercolor, comics with Sumi ink & watercolor, sculpture, mixed media (found object), and needle felting. Working alongside talented artists, Hillsboro students were able to create their own pieces to take home.
This immersive experience at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve gave students an opportunity to network with peers in the creative community and provided all students with valuable artistic exposure.
