As communicated earlier this summer, we're thrilled to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students during the 2024-2025 school year. Students can enjoy one free breakfast and one free lunch (a' la carte items or seconds will accrue fees). We believe this program will benefit all our students by providing them with healthy and nutritious meals at school.
Unfortunately, due to recent program updates from the Department of Public Instruction, the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program will not be financially sustainable long-term in our district.
We are committed to honoring our commitment to free meals this year. However, at the conclusion of the CEP program in the 2024-2025 school year, we may need to adjust meal prices moving forward. We will keep you informed of any future changes.
Even though meals are free for students this year, completing the Free and Reduced Lunch application is still important. Here's why:
The number of students approved for free and reduced meals affects the amount of federal funding the school receives. These funds support various programs that benefit all students, such as additional teachers, educational resources, eligibility for programs like CEP, and after-school programs.
Completing the application also helps us maintain accurate data on student needs.
How to Apply
Guardians can apply through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (menu-more-meal benefits), or contact Yanula Nusse for more information on how to apply.
