Hillsboro Elementary held a Holiday Book Exchange and Cookie Decorating Night on Thursday, December 12th.
Families were encouraged to bring gently used children's books to exchange for new-to-you reads, and students had the opportunity to wrap their picks if they found one they thought might make a great gift. The event also featured cookie decorating, with a variety of cookies available for students to decorate at the sprinkle station.
Book exchanges promote literacy and a love of reading without any financial barrier. The festive atmosphere and community building activities made it a memorable experience for all.
