Hillsboro High School English Department classes traveled to the American Players Theatre to attend productions of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost.
The trip to APT is an annual tradition of the Hillsboro High School English Department. The American Players Theatre is one of the few outdoor theatres in the country and the second-largest outdoor theatre devoted to the classics in the country.
Freshmen students have read Romeo and Juliet in English 9 and AP Literature students have studied Hamlet. These students had an extraordinary introduction and immersion into the world, language, and performances of Shakespeare, before going in-depth into his works in class.
