Five high school seniors traveled to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Sunday, January 13th to participate in the Dorian Vocal Festival. This festival is the largest mass choir festival, as the choir is made up of over 1,100 students from Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and other surrounding states! Lauren Banker, Kelsi Grivois, Hope Huffman, Hunter Landrath and Brooks Mitchell were chosen to take part in this amazing event. After a day of practicing, they were rewarded with a Sunday evening performance by the Luther College Freshman choirs and a local high school choir. On Monday evening (January 14th), they performed their concert, and the sounds were breathtaking! As stated by one of the students: "This is one of my favorite high school memories". It is an experience beyond words, and we are so happy they were given this opportunity! #HSDGoTigers #TigerProud

Due to tomorrow nights weather conditions and the likely possibility of cancellations, the girls basketball game @ Richland Center has been moved to tonight. Other dates were explored in order to avoid a last minute change, but tonight was the only option available for both teams. JV will be played @ 6:00, Varsity @ 7:30.

Traffic congestion at the elementary and middle/high school have recently created several situations that could have put our students at risk. There are existing parking signs and parking laws along Hillsborough Avenue and Mitscher Avenue that are being ignored. Please pay careful attention to the diagram posted below. We have been in communication with the Hillsboro Police Department regarding the safety of the area in front of the school in the mornings and afternoons, please be advised that citations can be issued for failure to comply. In an effort to ease the congestion, we are asking that ALL student drop-offs and pick-ups be in the West (back) parking area. Please contact us if you have any questions and thank you for your help in keeping our students safe! #HSDGoTigers #SafetyFirst
