The third grade class was able to handle a variety of creatures today. The classes were very excited to have Dan Nedrelo come in to share his knowledge and experiences. They prepared for this by completing snake research projects, presenting those to parents, and then learning more about reptiles and amphibians.

Last week, English 11 students held classroom debates.  As the culmination of a unit on argumentation, teams of students researched both sides of a topic, planned opening statements, and debated the opposing team.  Students had to thoroughly research both sides of the issue, as the side they argue is determined by a coin flip on the day of the debate.  The students' debates combined both prepared argument speeches with impromptu question and answer "crossfires" of the opposing teams.  The students who were not participating in that debate scored each debate to determine a winner.
