NEW STAFF PROFILE | Help us in welcoming one of our new staff members, Samantha Levy!
Samantha is a Hillsboro native who graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She loves reading and spending time with her family. She likes to stay active and also lifeguards at Dutch Hollow during the summer months.
When asked what she is most looking forward to as a Hillsboro teacher, this was her response:
"I look forward to being part of such a wonderful staff who are committed to making a positive learning environment for all students. Also, because I am from Hillsboro and this community has done so much for me, I am so excited to be able to give back to the community in this way."

Royal Bank spent time visiting the elementary school last week to talk to these #HSDGoTigers as part of the Teach Kids to Save program! Every student, grades 1-5, had the opportunity to enter a coloring contest to win a piggy bank filled with some goodies. Here are the winners!

Reminder for 8-12th grade band students of the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. Call time - 10:00am at Public Library. Band room will be open 9-9:45 to grab equipment. Please drink plenty of water the night before and day of for safety. Dress code: Band polo and khaki shorts. #HSDGoTigers

Congratulations to the Tiger softball team. With their 12-7 win over Kickapoo they advance to the next level of the WIAA playoffs. They will play at Seneca today at 3:30pm. #HSDGoTigers

This week in the Tiger Nation...


Last week, Ms. Madden's Reading 8 and English 10 classes took advantage of the nice weather to take their books outside and read. Currently, the 8th graders are reading independent novels and the sophomores are reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Tonights JV Baseball game has been canceled due to field conditions.

Nurse Emily visited the second grade classrooms this week to talk about the benefits of exercise and stretching. The kids had a chance to learn how exercise can improve their mood, stay healthy, and help them focus. They had a chance to get their wiggles out and practice some animal yoga poses!
