This week's Tiger Staff Shout Out goes to third grade teacher, Beth Thayer!
She has shown the Tiger Way by being focused on celebrating all achievements of her students, no matter how big or small. She wants to see all of her students succeed and makes sure to use creative ways to help them understand what she is teaching.

Mark Horbinski will be holding a presentation of sportsmanship at the MS/HS tonight at 7pm, free and open to the public.

English 12 just completed a technical writing unit where they created personal statements, resumes, and cover letters!
The final assessment was an instructions project where students had to make an original Lego toy/structure and write detailed instructions, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and document design.
The 6th grade class then had to follow their instructions to put together the toy/structures and gave them feedback. How a fun and interactive way of learning! #HSDGoTigers #TigerProud

Spending time with buddies has never been so fun! Especially when these #HSDGoTigers got to read and make Christmas trees! 🌲📚

#HSDGoTigers love the new Glowforge Laser Printer that is part of Makerspace!
The process starts on the computer where designs are drawn and the finished file is sent to the Glowforge where it can be cut and/or engraved on many different materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, just to name a few.
So far students have created custom coasters, key chains, backpack tags, Christmas Ornaments, snap together boxes, pencils and pencil holders.
This new creative tool really has the students eager to design! #GettingCreative
